Good News

My uncle will be arriving in August. I'll make sure I'd be free during that period because I don't wanna miss the FUN. And when I say FUN, it includes going out of town, visiting places we've never been to, etc.

Will treat my 9-y/o cousin out tomorrow. We'll watch a movie (have no idea what to watch, though. I already saw both Spidey and Shrek), eat out and play at Timezone. He deserves it. He's been a good boy lately.

Will start a new blog soon. There's no spice with using Blogdrive anymore - so very limited skins, templates and what not. My potential blog - that one of Wordpress. Am still getting the hang of it, though. Can't promise but I'll start again posting more serious and self-educating entries. I know I've been a non-sense lately.

Watch out.

FUN.

Last week was hellish. As much as I want to avoid myself from using the word, it's the only adjective that would best describe what I went through last week. Thanks to Yum, Gwenie and Sy for being there. I know they have their own shares of hellishness, but heck, they were the least I expect to be there yet there they were. Hoowaw.

Maybe the reason why I need to go through THOSE is because I am drifting away from Yum. Maybe the reason why I need to feel THOSE is because I am forgetting. Forgetting what? A lotta things.

The past 2 Saturdays have been worthwhile for me and Yum - my batch/org-mate in college, my friend. We went to Gbelt and G4 to watch a movie, eat out, play at Timezone, and sing his lungs out. Haha. Addik kumanta shyet.

Gwenie went to the office after my shift. We had frappe at Starbucks. She listened.

Sy is my new-found ally in WH. wahaha. She's a freak! Freak with a good heart. She's also an addik. Before I shifted to VAR/PA, I find her very intimidating. Ang taray eh. Pero just like Gwenie and Yum, she's there.

Diversion

I just realized that this was not the right week to be affable. I just hope this feeling won't last for long because it will not be good. This feeling I'm afraid of seems to materialize AGAIN. Seems like the "good luck" time -- the time I don't care about anyone, the time selfishness dominates, the time I would rather spend alone than with anybody else, the time I'm feeling I can never (and don't want to) trust anyone, the time I BEFORE wished I'd spend with friends/family but later realized I should have spent alone maybe because it's how things should be -- is here again

Buried myself to some stuff, ie, quotes, survey, games, trivia. Below were what I found:

Quote Part:

Unless we love and are loved, each of us is alone,
each of us is deeply lonely.
-Mortimer Adler

People who lead a lonely existence always have
something on their minds that they are eager to talk
about.
-Anton Chekhov

It is strange to be known so universally and yet to be
so lonely.
-Albert Einstein

What loneliness is more lonely than distrust?
-George Eliot

The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or
unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can
be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature and God.
Because only then does one feel that all is as it should
be.
-Anne Frank

The individual has always had to struggle to keep from
being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will
be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no
price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning
yourself.
-Friedrich Nietzsche

He clasps the crag with crooked hands; close to the
sun in lonely lands, ringed with the azure world, he
stands.
-Alfred Lord Tennyson

Puzzle/Trivia Part:

The Spotlight Puzzle
A conference room contains three separate wall-mounted spotlights - right, left and front of stage. Each is controlled by its own on-off switch. These three switches are numbered 1, 2 and 3, but they are in a back-room which has no sight of the the spotlights
or the conference room (and there are no reflections or shadows or mirrors, and you are alone). How do you identify each switch correctly - right, left, front - if
you can only enter the back-room once?

What 15-letter word contains the letter 'E' five times and no other vowels?

Why do we say 'Bless you' to someone who has sneezed?

Why do we clink glasses when we say 'cheers' (or 'skol' or 'good health' etc)?

A part of a wheel is a SPOKE, another word for people is FOLK, so how do you spell the word for the white of an egg?

Answers:

Switch on number 1 and leave it on for 30 seconds, then switch it off. Switch on number 2 and leave it on. Enter the conference room. The spotlight that is on is obviously number 2. The spotlight that is warm is switch 1, and the other spotlight is number 3.
(Adapted from a suggestion by D Thomasson)

Defencelessness.

While there are variations around the theme, the main origin is that sneezing was believed in medieval times to be associated with vulnerability to evil, notably that sneezing expelled a person's soul, thus enabling an evil spirit - or specifically the devil - to steal the soul or to enter the body and take possession of it. Another contributory factor was the association of sneezing with the Black Death (Bubonic
Plague) which ravaged England and particularly London in the 14th and 17th centuries.

Not yoke or yolk - the white of an egg is called
the albumen.

I will haunt you.

I got a Friendster message last Sunday and I can't ascertain as to whether or not this is a message sent to me by a friend or an IMPOSTOR, until I got a Friendster invitation the day after, a totally new account but owned by the same (?) person. This new account has, however, contents that I can't fathom and so what I did was to further analyze what I am currently seeing and I ended up reporting this person as someone abusive. Hah. Good for you, Impostor. I can't stand your doublecrossing one of my bestbuds. You should know whom you're dealing with.

As there are soo many assholes in the world, I just would like to rant my way althrough the end of this entry. BUT, no. I will let go of it. I need to have self-control as I tend to say words that I might regret saying in the end. NO. I'll stop. I want the burden to be all yours, not mine, not ours. Jay is right. It's best to stay quiet. No sorries, no apologies, though. That, I will NEVER do.

To all the assholes and bitc*** in the world, I'LL POP YOUR CAP, YOU MUTHAF***ER.

Tayrd.

Tired of EVERYTHING...

The word "REST" is seemingly non-existent nowadays. RESTdays are meant for relaxation but heck, you're still committed to do something. When will this house renovation ever END? I miss sleeping in my own bed.

Can't wait to see Ma-ann and taste her pinagmamalaking Sushi. Hmm. I am not fond of eating raw Japanese dishes. (wushu. eto na naman ako. I recall the day I said to myself that I'd never, ever eat Thai dishes again at eto ka Mini, sinira mo ang paniniwala ko. haha.)

The interest to join GKNB stirs me up again. Palibhasa I saw SOME FRIEND on TV (no name dropping na lang). Yes naman! Just the thought of standing there makes me nervous. I just don't like the new approach on how you can win that million bucks. Sana tulad na lang ng dati na isang question lang tapos may Tarantarium (yun nga ba yun? That small room with books and all na nakakapagpa-taranta sa sinumang papasok doon. haha. puchang mga Pinoy.)

I watched a movie w/ Lish and Zai two weeks ago. Shyet. After The Da Vinci Code and Happy Feet, It's A Boy Girl Thing is the flick. Oo GWAPO na si Kevin Zegers (para sa mga KILIG dyan. haha.) I like the OST, though. James Blunt's High it is.

What weird dream last night. Bakit kailangang magparamdam pa sa panaginip ang taong yun. Pakshet. Pagkatapos magpakita sa Greenhills. Shyet.

Okay. Need some REST. REEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSST.

Stick Around.

I was planning of researching about the title of this particular song for the past couple of years yet I've realized this plan just last week. Nyak. I am speaking of Frou Frou's techno-light song Breathe In. I always get to listen to it in Jam 88.3 but was not able to have a hint of what the title is (hindi sila madadaldal na DJ tulad sa ibang radio station. hehe.)

But what does the song really mean? And how does it impact my life? I was thinking that the song may have meant for a person to be waiting for the longest time for the RIGHT person to come that he/she has built a fountain of apprehension out of it (hyperbole). Bit hard, eh. Nevertheless, I still like it, with the beat and all. Impact? Wala naman. I just like it.

Isaw with Ostrich-y Pierre last week Grabeng bata ito, hindi pa rin nagbabago. :p I missed this ostrich who eats isaw in UP SC. Sa sobrang pagkamiss ko napatakbo ako ng UP kahit masakit ngipin ko. Hoowat ka. :p

And Do, I won't forget my promise. :)

By the way, we have a new baby in the family, baby Casmot JP (John Patrick. take Casmot off. We love to call him that) who is very maputi and has dimples on both cheeks. Sarap i-squeeze! My sister gave birth last week and it was very FUN! One way or another babies just have this "baby-factor" that would make everyone as tame as wapitis. whoo! I must say, since this baby came into our lives, we're brought closer... :) I have yet to post his pics. :)

Books to read, so many. Though I am through with A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle. Ganda nga. Next will be Kundera's Identity. After that, 8 or so more to go. God bless me.

Ayun. Stick around. :)

Bashes.

Christmas and New Year celebs have passed. What fun! We ate, we ate, and we ate. Gift-giving, reunions, etc! Every year, I must say, brings about a totally distinct kind of Christmas spirit. (pucha. lalim!)

Looking back, Christmas of 2006 was also a blast. Who would forget Imang and the pillow, arcade games, roller-skating, bump car, Exodus, and the Baguio air? Takte yan. Thanks to Gel for all the Christmas memoirs of 2005. :) Hope you had a wonderful Christmas there. :)

This Christmas, which I spent with the family, was also a blast. We never had the chance to spend it all together although on the 26th, my Tito, Tita, Ate Sheila and her family came to visit us. I missed my Ate Sheila. She worked abroad for 2 years and this was the only chance that we get to see her again. I am looking forward to Christmas of 2007 because that's when we will all be COMPLETE. I'd get to see my long lost cousin Kuya Zan (for almost 6 years now), and his baby Zacci, plus Tito Will and his family. What fun! :)

On New Year, however, we had an exchange gift between family relatives (parang redundant AGAIN. lol) We do this every New Year for some unknown reason. lol. Frankly, I'd rather gift-giving be done on New Years rather than on Christmases. Ewan ko ba. Medyo weird. Anyway, going back, the exchange gift was supposed to be worth only a hundred bucks, yet I received something that is worth 300. Thanks to my ever-gallant bro. You rock! lol.

I just hope all will be well in 2007. God bless us all. :)

Christmas!!!

Excited.

Yipee..! One more day to go before Christmas!

...and yet I haven't bought a single gift. So pasaway.

...although I bought myself a gift already. New mobile. Yes! Hey Vani. I'm sorry I have yet to post the specs of my phone. If you want I'll just lend you the handbook. LOL. Better yet, just go to SE W810i. Fun!

Watched the Run yesterday. Video-d it, too. (if there's a term as such) It's awful when you forget that there's a ZOOM feature in your phone. LOL. <-- funny how I used to misinterpret this as a curse. Mommy Mhey sure laughed at this.

Last week is kinda busy a week for me. Simbang gabi with Jay, movie with Phoebe, panggugulo sa barkada dinner ni Jay, atbp. Effect: sipon. But it's okay. It's all worth it. :)

Later na ang kwento. Mahirap pag najejebs. lol.
